63 Vermont Family Skiing Tournament

Families are sure to enjoy this fun race. On March 4, Mad River Glen in Waitsfield, Vermont will hold its 63rd Annual Mad River Glen Family Tournament. The founder of Mad River began the former “The Father/Son Race” in Stowe in 1947, which eventually evolved into the family ski tournament.

Categories in the tournament now include: Mother/Daughter, Mother/Father, Mother/Son, Father/Daughter, Grandmother/Grandson, Grandmother/Granddaughter, Grandfather/Grandson, Brother/Sister, Brother/Brother, Sister/Sister and the overall Family Winner.

The skiing race will be a nostalgic experience for every generation. More often than not, participants who raced as children comes back to race as fathers or even grandfathers.
