Early bird hit the mountain early

Stowe, Vermont:

Presidents' Week begins this Saturday, and it's one of the most exciting times at just about any ski resort. The place is hopping and you can just feel the energy of everyone around you. Here's a tip that will help you have the best possible experience during the holiday week.

Get there early!

This is especially important if you plan to rent equipment, take a lesson or enroll your child(ren) in the Children's Adventure Center. For the latter, we advise arrival at Spruce Peak no later than 8:30 a.m. If you take care of business early, it will be a much more pleasant process.

This is true even if you don't plan to take a lesson or rent gear. Holiday skiers are notoriously slow to hit the slopes, so if you hit the mountain early then you will be one step ahead of everyone. When you're heading in for lunch, everyone else will still be on the mountain. When they go in for lunch, you'll be on the slopes. Take note of these patterns and plan your day accordingly!
