Geschmossel Classic Skiing Race

JANUARY 2006

The Geschmossel is back this year and will be held on January 16 at the Bretton Woods Mountain Resort in New Hampshire. Geschmossel meaning “mass start,” is a 15-kilometer classical cross-country ski race and one of New England’s oldest citizens’ races. The skiing race will take place at the Ammonooosuc Trail Network at the Bretton Woods Nordic Ski Center. The event is sponsored by Inglenook Wines.

Pre-registration fee on or before January 13 is $20 for adults and $10 for participants below 20 years old. Regular registration fee is $25 for adults and $15 for participants under 20 years old. The first 75 registrants will receive a T-Shirt. Also, fees are inclusive of a trail pass and an awards party with wine tasting at the Nordic Center. Prizes will be given to the top three finishers in the men and women’s categories and also in the separate age groups.
