Johnson Vertical Skiing Challenge



JANUARY 2006The 3rd annual Bill Johnson Vertical Ski Challenge Brain Injury Awareness Fundraiser will be held on January 28 at Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire. Skiers of all levels are welcome to participate. Interested participants can bring their friends and family to form a team. Teams are to make as many runs as they could throughout the event. Prizes will be given to the skiing team with the most vertical runs, with the highest amount of money collected and the team who noted the most checkpoints. There will also be a randomly drawn grand prize. Only teams who are able to collect at least $350 can participate. Moreover, a ski team gets to start off with an extra 100 vertical with every $100 they raise above the minimum $350 pledge. The 1984 Gold Olympic Medalist Bill Johnson will be there to greet everybody. He suffered from brain injury in a skiing accident and trained to ski again after he emerged from a coma.
