Mary Firemen Ski Race

Drop by Shawnee Peak in Bridgton, Maine on March 11 for the 3rd Annual Mary's Firemen Race For a Cure. This event is to honor Mary Allen, a breast cancer victim who lost her battle with cancer last October. Fire Department all over Maine have been invited to compete in this modified giant slalom race. All the proceeds raised will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Maine.

Teams will compose of five members who will ski as a team as they hold on to a 50-foot length of fire hose while wearing full turn out gear! Each team can buy time with every $100 they raise above the registration fee. A hundred dollars will deduct one second from the time.

Pre-registration deadline is March 3 but there will also be an on-site registration. Registration fee is $100 per team inclusive of Lift Ticket, Chili Lunch and Raffle Prizes. On-site registration is 8 am to 9:30 am. For more details, visit www.shawneepeak.com.
