The Red Bull Rough Cuts is providing another way for aspiring film editors to test their talents. Red Bull will provide ski footage from Matchstick Productions and then participants will edit it any way they want to. Matchstick Productions is one of the most renowned producers of ski films for nearly a decade.

Participants will edit the film that should last for three minutes. Interested parties can register as a group or compete solo. There are no rules in editing the film. The participants can cut, remix and edit in any way they want to. The contest's aim is to showcase the participant's unique presentation of the film. The winning entry will then be included as a special feature in Matchstick's 2006 release.
