Women of the Canadian Rockies

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies and Kokanee have joined forces in support of the Canadian Avalanche Association (CAA). These Canadian Rockies based companies are hoping to raise awareness and financial support for the educational programs carried out by the CAA, including current advisories of snow conditions and weather. With many of their staff, guests, family and friends living, working, and playing in these mountain communities, Resorts of the Canadian Rockies and Kokanee have a keen interest in the education of snowsport enthusiasts who play in the backcountry.

This past weekend Resorts of the Canadian Rockies and Kokanee announced The Girls of the Canadian Rockies calendar featuring passionate, smart, successful, community-minded women: Divina Angelini, Moe Burns, Julia Delich, Jennifer Delich, Kristin Elliott, Carol Lobello, Cara Moeller, Maureen Mosteller and Jikke Stegeman.

“The Girls of the Canadian Rockies, staff of Resorts of the Canadian Rockies and Kokanee feel very connected to the mountain places in which we live and we want everyone to enjoy the mountains with their friends and family safely,” says Matt Mosteller, Senior Director, Business Development for Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. He adds, “This is a way for us to give back to our communities by raising $10,000 in support of the Canadian Avalanche Association.”

Photographer Pat Bates shot the calendar on location at Fernie Alpine Resort. Towards the end of February it will be available to order online at skircr.com. It is expected that the calendars will raise $10,000 in funds to be directly donated to the CAA.
